I was curious about this, so I bought it to see if the concept matched up with the potential that the idea suggested that it could be. I was dubious, but it really does. I am a psychotherapist by profession, and I work a lot as a relationship therapist. One of the problems that I encounter is how to encourage people to stimulate ways of thinking that promote deep relational connection. I can prompt a different approach to engaging, but there is often a hesitancy around what subjects to raise; a natural reluctance to be truly vulnerable. I find using these cards to be really helpful in prompting a new openness which, in turn, tends to create conditions of mutual trust and understanding.
I have also used the "game" with friends and family and every time, and without fail, the process creates connection, self-reflection and develops relational understanding. It has been an absolute boon with my older teenaged children who told me that they feel seen, understood and respected as a result of the experience.
I have not used it working with groups yet, but I am keen to try; the opportunity that Know Thyself gives for honest yet respectful feedback that helps an individual to really, well, "know themself" more accurately and more fully.
I think this is a game-changing product that deserves to be in every home, and has potential in therapy and business settings too.
